After you meet him on 5/7, he asks you to gather flowers and stamps for his ongoing study of the human heart, for which he’ll give you powerful items or upgrades in exchange. It might be tempting to simply ignore him, as he spawns randomly in mementos instead of waiting in a specified place like a normal vendor— but rest assured, this will make your mementos experience much more tedious than it has to be.

Stamps
This is the main way that P5R has improved mementos: by turning in collected stamps to jose, you’re able to change the cognition of mementos itself to affect how much money, experience, or items you receive.
You can find a stamp at the end of the platform of every floor, as well as spawning randomly behind doors or breakable walls. As there are more stamps to find in a single area than there are floors, the only way to collect them all is to retread the area until you’ve gathered them all. There are 165 collectable stamps total, and you can check how many stamps an area has by looking at the mementos overview.
There are ten upgradable tiers each for experience, money, and items— items referring to how many things you pick up from each treasure node that spawns on the tracks. Each tier takes an incrementally increasing amount of stamps to unlock.

Persona 5 royal - mementos guide and walkthrough
Guide for mementos
Mementos is a large palace that exists separately from the other story palaces. Rather than a set layout, mementos changes each time the player enters. It is populated both with shadows seen in the other palaces and others that are only available in mementos.
There are a number of missions that take place in mementos. The protagonist must first identify targets in the real world before finding their shadows in mementos.
Mementos in persona 5 royal
Mementos appears on 5/7 with additional features not found on the previous game. Among them includes the new NPC jose and unusual events called “happening.” currently the content in P5R are roughly translated. We will update them when the game comes out in north america.
While exploring mementos, you’ll be moving across areas which may prompt the appearance of jose. The new NPC, jose, will have his coordinates marked on the map. When speaking to jose, he asks you to fetch some flowers for his collection.

Persona 5 royal: treasure demon guide
Here's a handy guide to the location, weaknesses, and fusion combinations of every treasure demon in persona 5 royal.
Coming across a treasure demon is always a special treat in persona 5 — they award a good amount of money upon defeat or are otherwise a powerful ingredient in fusions if captured. The trick is finding them and downing them in the first place, as they’re quite rare and tough to beat.
How to find treasure demons
You’ll encounter your first demon in madarame’s palace, just after rescuing mona from a laser tripwire trap. They’ll start to appear on their own after that, albeit rarely. In palaces, they have a chance of popping out after you nab one of the small treasures, while they’ll simply appear on the tracks like other shadows in mementos.
The factors that raise the chances of encountering a treasure demon are:
- Mementos: bad weather (rain, snow, storm, etc.)
- Palaces: high security level (they appear the most when the security level is 100% during post-calling card infiltrations.)
You can also craft an item that increases the chances of demon encounters at your work table. This stacks with the effects of bad weather or high security levels, so you can use it to raise the encounter rate as much as possible.
Of course, it’s not just enough to encounter a demon— you need to know its weaknesses if you want a chance at catching or defeating one. In order of lowest to highest level, here are the weaknesses and locations of every treasure demon in persona 5 royal:
Regent
- Weakness: nuclear
- Location: madarame palace, path of qimranut, path of aiyatsubus, path of chemdah, path of da’at
Queen’s necklace
Stone of scone
Koh-i-noor
Orlov
Emperor’s amulet
- Weakness: electric
- Location: shido palace, path of sheriruth (areas 7 - 9 and 11 - 13, after clearing shido palace)
Hope diamond
- Weakness: ice
- Location: shido palace (rare), path of sheriruth (areas 7 - 9 and 11 - 13, rare), path of iweleth, path of da’at
Crystal skull
- Weakness: wind
- Location: shido palace (rare), path of sheriruth (areas 7 - 9 and 11 - 13, rare), path of iweleth (rare), world of qlipoth, path of da’at
Orichalcum
Fusing treasure demons
Using treasure demons as an ingredient in persona fusion will pass on the various abilities that the demon has, as well as two extra innate abilities. The resulting persona will be of the same arcana as the persona that was fused with the demon, but a few tiers higher or lower.
“tiers” here refers to the hierarchy of personae within an arcana family: for example, jack-o’-lantern, at level 2, is one tier lower in the magician arcana than the next strongest persona, cait sith (at level 5).
The different treasure demons react differently to each major arcana family. Here is a chart of what tier a fused persona will be in relation to the “parent” personae:
An example: as queen's necklace induces a tier upgrade of one in the fool arcana, fusing arsene (level 1) with it will result in obariyon (level 8). Crystal skull induces a tier upgrade of two, in the same arcana, so fusing it with arsene would result in a high pixie (level 16).
However, unlike with regular fusions, the level of the ingredient persona seems to affect the tier of the resulting persona when fused with a treasure demon. If a persona's level reaches that of the persona one tier above it in the same arcana family, it will be treated as if it were in the same tier instead. If it overtakes that level, it will replace that persona in the hierarchy. In simpler terms:
- Lvl. 1 arsene + queen's necklace (fool +1) =lvl. 8 obariyon
- Lvl. 8 arsene + queen's necklace (fool +1) = lvl. 16 high pixie (arsene and obaryion are both the tier 2 fool persona)
- Lvl. 8 arsene + regent (fool -1) = impossible (arsene and obariyon are both the tier 2 fool persona, therefore there is no tier 1 persona to fuse to)
- Lvl. 9 arsene + regent (fool -1) =lvl. 8 obariyon (arsene is tier 2 and obariyon is tier 1 because arsene has overtaken obariyon's level)
And so on and so forth: a level 17 arsene will be treated as the tier 3 fool persona, while obariyon and high pixie will be the tier 1 and 2 personae respectively. Note that personae fused from group fusions are not included in their arcana's hierarchy.
In addition, treasure demons grant 3 or 5 times more experience than usual when used as an offering at the gallows, and can be itemized into extremely powerful accessories. When you encounter a new treasure demon, make sure to capture it so you can register it in your compendium for future repeat use!
